Travis Loving – Head Coach – Berkeley Prep – Goalie Play
Travis Loving joins Berkeley Preparatory School as head Boys Varsity Lacrosse coach after 17 seasons at The Haverford School located just outside of Philadelphia. Travis played goalie collegiately at Army for legendary Coach Jack Emmer. At West Point, he served as the team’s captain in 1996, was a 3-time All-Patriot league selection, and appeared in the NCAA tournament during his freshmen and senior years. He has coached 36 high school All-Americans, 10 Division I goalies, 11 Inter-Academic League title teams, 5 Inter-Academic League tournament title teams, one state championship team in 2005, and two undefeated national championship teams in 2011 and 2015.
John Nostrant – Head Coach – The Haverford School – Favorite Drills
John Nostrant is the Athletic Director and Head Coach at The Haverford School. As a player, John was a 3-time All-American midfielder at Washington College and a 2-time All-Pro player for the Philadelphia Wings and the Baltimore Thunder. Coach Nostrant has served as the Head Coach of The Haverford School since 1991, winning more than 300 games. Coach Nostrant has coached 36 high school All-Americans, 13 Inter-Ac title teams, 4 Inter-Ac tournament title teams, 2 state championship teams (2000 and 2005), and 2 undefeated national championship teams in 2011 and 2015. He also served as an assistant coach for the USA U-19 world team which won the gold medal in 2008.
Pat Clare – Defensive Coordinator – Berkeley Prep – Sliding Drills and Concepts
Pat Clare joins Berkeley as an assistant after having most recently coached at The Avon Old Farms School in Avon, CT. At Avon, Pat worked with both the varsity and junior varsity programs, specializing in working with the defensive units. Prior to Avon Pat spent a year coaching at The Brunswick School in Greenwich, CT. He played collegiately at Tufts University, where he was a defenseman on the Jumbos’ 2010 NCAA Division 3 national championship team. That team also won the NESCAC tournament, marking the first conference championship in school history. Prior to Tufts he was a four-year varsity player and three-year starter at the Taft School in Watertown, CT. He captained the team his senior year, earned Western New England all-star honors and was the recipient of the Lance R. Odden award.
Chad Hadlock – Offensive Coordinator – Berkeley Prep – High Rep Stick Drills and Two-Man Games
Chad Hadlock joins the Berkeley staff from San Diego where he was head coach of Cathedral Catholic High School, a perennial power in Southern California. Chad grew up in Corning, NY, where he was a HS All-American and Empire State Selection before attending the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1994. During his four seasons at Army, Chad started more than 50 games at attack, became just the 16th member of the 100-point club for career scoring in program history, and was a multiple time All-Patriot League selection. Chad has coached high school, club lacrosse, and provided advanced private training since 2004, helping develop innumerable current and former NCAA lacrosse players.
