District 9
- Steinbrenner – A young squad from 2019 returning a bunch of starters. Look for a better season from the Warriors in 2020.
- Wiregrass – 9-3 last year. This is a solid squad that battles every game. They won’t be giving up the top seed easily.
- Mitchell – TLR thinks this may be a sleeper team in 2020. Hard putting them at #3.
- Sunlake – Could be a tough place to be come district playoffs. 500 club in 2019. Maybe better in 2020.
District 10
- Plant – Very solid Panthers team in 2020 – maybe their best since their elite 8 team in 2016. Keep an eye on them.
- Lakewood Ranch – 10-4 in 2019. We expect them to do as well in 2020. Always competitive.
- Alonso – We feel Alonso and Sickles will be fighting each other hard to avoid the #4 seed and having to face Plant in playoffs.
- Sickles – Could be #3, but Alonso won’t be giving that spot up easily. Watch these two teams down the stretch.
District 11
- Newsome – Lock the Wolves in for another district title in 2020. Another local deep program with outstanding coaching.
- Bloomingdale – They lost some talented seniors in 2019 and may be in a rebuilding year. Still.
- Lakeland – A new TLR-area team that has been winning independent games. Let’s see what they do in 2020.
- Durant – Rough season in 2019, but Durant will fight for a much better record in 2020.
