District 9
- Jesuit – The Tigers never seem to be in a rebuilding year. The program is large and deep. Although, District 9 this year could go to either Jesuit or Berkeley. It’ll be tight.
- Berkeley – With Berkeley hosting districts this year and their new coach Mike Ryder now in full control of the program, don’t be surprised to see the Buccaneers make some waves.
- Calvary Christian – Tough district for Calvary. Strong team with great coaching.
- Tampa Catholic – New coach Mike Gambrell may get a rude welcome with the #4 seed having to face #1 in the districts.
District 10
- St. Stephen’s – Head to head over the last few years, this team has handled the teams also listed on this preview. We have no reason to expect that to change.
- Northside Christian – A new team to the Tampa Lax Report area, but one with some impressive wins under their belt over the last few years.
- Robinson – This could be the Knights year to take the district title! This is truly a toss-up district in 2020.
- Jefferson – This program has steadily been improving over the last 4 or 5 years. This isn’t the team from 2013 anymore!
District 11
- Cardinal Mooney – No discussion needed. The Cougars are our overall #1 in the TLR area. Maybe not as good as 2019, but still better than the others in the area.
- Canterbury – New to the TLR area, Canterbury plays a solid game with a focus on the fundamentals. They should take the #2 spot.
- Out-of-Door – ODA lost their two big playmakers in 2019, but always fight for every game with a solid squad. Look for them to battle Canterbury for the 2nd seed.
- Bishop Verot – Another new TLR team. We hope we are able to get that far south to catch some of their games.
