East Lake Girls Win Their Final Regular Season Game 11 to 6 Versus Mitchell

East Lake was able to turn the tables on initial game scoring deficit and propel themselves in the early minutes to a 3-0 start.  #25 Samantha Reich had 7 goals and #2 Lauren Holthaus had 4 goals to combine for all of East Lake scoring.  Meanwhile East Lake defense led by #37 Mya Mooney (17 saves) was good enough to limit Mitchell’s high powered offense to just 6 goals.  #19 Aja Davis had an outstanding game.  “Aja was great out there,” Said #25 Samantha Reich.  “She even got an assist.  That’s pretty good for a defender.”  It was on a hustle play by Aja to collect a ground ball and run it down the field.  When she crossed the restraining line she saw Samantha was wide open and passed her the ball for an easy score.  After the game the East Lake girls were in high spirits and one could hear the coaches saying that they all hustled which was music to the crowd.

The win came on East Lake’s #37 Mya Mooney 100^th save of her High School career.

Mitchell scoring came from #16 Busch (3 goals), #36 Risinger (2 goals), and #23 Morris (1 goal).
